Sherrill Jordan, DDS, FAGDGeneral Dentist
Dr. Sherrill Jordan is first and foremost a Christian, then a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Dr. Jordan completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduate with honors from the UNC School of Dentistry in 2007.
I’m an FAGD dentist!
What does that mean for you and your family?
FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this.

Prevention Learn More
By actively preventing disease and decay through regular home care, professional dental cleanings and regular exams, you will maintain a healthy, beautiful smile for life.
Smile Makeovers Learn More
Cosmetic dentistry is one of the most cost-effective ways to improve your appearance. A beautiful, bright, healthy smile will increase self-confidence and overall life satisfaction. Cosmetic dentistry includes things like tooth-colored restorations, dental implants, and crowns. We have many options, so please call us today!
Smile Whitening Learn More
Many everyday things like coffee, tea and wine can significantly dull teeth. Smile-whitening enables us to significantly brighten your smile for that dazzling white smile you deserve.
Plastic whitening trays will be made from models of your teeth. You will then place a special whitening gel in each tray and wear the trays in your mouth for several hours per day. (Many patients wear their trays after dinner and before bed.) A significant change in tooth color is usually seen in just four to six weeks.
Crowns and Bridges Learn More
Protect and keep badly decayed or fractured teeth while maintaining a beautiful smile. Made to perfectly match the shape and shade of your other teeth, they’re durable, strong, and undetectable.
Crowns should be placed before the tooth is so decayed that it may fracture. This can often help prevent the expense of root canal therapy in the future. If a tooth is too damaged to have a crown applied, a porcelain bridge may be a good alternative.
Mercury Free Learn More
The common silver filling contains mercury. Dr. Jordan uses the highest-quality biocompatible, tooth-colored restorations to create healthy, beautiful smiles. Since the composite material adheres directly to the tooth enamel, less preparation of the tooth is required before using it. This means it is more durable and provides a more natural-looking result.
Digital X-Rays Learn More
Jordan Family Dentistry's use of digital x-ray technology reduces exposure to harmful radiation and eliminates the use of chemicals. It's better for our patients and the environment.
It's also easy for you to see what the doctor sees. Your digital x-ray can be seen on a computer screen located next to your dental chair. This helps you understand your needs and make informed choices about your treatment.
Root Canals Learn More
Root canal therapy is an excellent way to save a tooth that would otherwise die and need to be removed. All teeth that have had root canal therapy must be protected with a crown. This is because teeth that have had the pulp removed are more susceptible to fracture.
TMJ Treatment Learn More
If you suffer from headaches or pain, clicking or popping while chewing, there may be problems with your temporomandibular joint (or TMJ). Call us today to schedule a free TMJ treatment consultation.
